Description

Two hours drive north of Puerto Vallarta Airport (PVR). A two bedroom one bath and studio apartment above, set on acre of bay and arroyo frontage in rural Mexico. Fishing and farming are a way of life.
There's also a two bedroom unit downstairs if you need to rent the whole house. We ask for a deposit to hold the dates, and a registration form.

The space
A two bedroom one bath downstairs. A separate studio apartment above, on one acre of lush gardens. Available for the summer at a reduced rate. Located 90 miles north of Puerto Vallarta Mexico.

Guest access
The two bedroom unit is 100 in the summer, for two nights up to 4 guests. The upstairs, accessed with spiraling stairs, sleeps up to 4 max. Rents for 40 per night.

Other things to note
Its old Mexico, not a lot of services, but much natural beauty, and very reasonable. We unlock the front gate during the day to allow locals to walk through to the beach. Renters have a key to drive in and park under the awning. We use water from the arroyo for the house, bottled water is used for the drinking water. The beach can be rocky after summer storms, we have a recylcling net on the beach, Casa Simpatico does its best to maintain it, but its not perfect. The arroyo also can vary in depth, but is always great to swim in the clear cool water.

If you are looking for such a place to relax and enjoy the nature you will find at Andy's place, 100% recommended, one block from main street but next to the Beach and small river, you will get conect with the beuty of the life itself.
The place it is so peaceful.

Small, but cozy home. Beautiful grounds. Very peaceful. Juan Carlos was very kind and helpful! We would stay here again.

The location is Wow, a house with a beautiful garden right on the beach and by a stream.
We enjoyed a different sunset from the patio everyday while listening to the waves.
My children loved running around the garden covered with coconut trees and swim ming in the river. Luckily we bought rock shoes so walking through the rocky beach to go swimming in the sea wasn't a big deal. The sea is particularly warm at this time of the year.
However there were a lot of mosquitoes because it is raining season, so bring insect repellents.

The house is clean and has everything you need to cook. Juan Carlos is very helpful and friendly. He even brought us some lychees from a friends garden.
From the house there is a path by the sea that connects to the village where you can buy fresh fish, grocery and there are a few cheap seafood restaurants.

Andy wasn't there but he always stayed connected to make sure everything went well. Thank you Andy for looking after us.
We will definitely go back.

Secluded with a beautiful garden and fantastic verandah on edge of rocky beach. Bring reef booties if swimming in front - a few rocks to negotiate before getting into deeper water. Or swim in the river. Peaceful place to catch up with friends and enjoy the surroundings. Stock up with supplies in the village and cook at home. Well stocked with all utensils needed. Fun mix of CDs to go through. Would go again for sure. Deon Bing and Family

Easy access with beautiful close up views of the ocean, stunning lush large yard and refreshing natural sweet water plunge pool right next to the beach. The Care taker is very attentive and friendly. The house has everything you need and is clean. But, you won't spend much time in the house the back porch kind of sucks you in. If your looking to hit different locations on the coast it is very central about the same distance north to San Blas or south to Platanitos. Casa simpatico is a great value.

The host Andy was very responsive and always answered his phone and all my questions. The caretaker Juan Carlos was a big help as well and even gave one of my amigos a ride to catch the bus the last morning. Home is in a great location right on the rock beach. It is very quiet and relaxing with amazing views!!The yard was well maintained and the home was clean despite being a little dated with the smell of mold. But if you have traveled to humid places you will know the odor is relatively common. Only downside is the beach is tough to swim in due to the boulders leading out to sea but there are plenty of sand beaches close by. Overall we had a great time!!

Had a lovely stay. Beautiful location, much better than staying in San Blas. We found the surf point in Santa Cruz ( bring your own board).

James

Excellent location on a creek that slowly makes its way to the ocean. Juan Carlos was there as promised and made sure we were all set up to enjoy the home. Great value.

Andy's home is one of my favorite Air BnB's of all time. Mexico is getting hot this time of year, but not in Andy's yard. There is a constant sea breeze blowing and plenty of green grass to sit on and lounge under the shade of giant coconut palms. The beach is literally steps from the door and is very beautiful, though very rocky. If you want a sandier beach, however, you simply walk north about 300 meters and there is a much longer sandy beach around the corner. Added bonus was a spring-fed little creek that runs alongside the house which we used for dipping in after swimming in the ocean. Amazing! The house was well-equipped and Juan Carlos was an excellent host. He even took us on the first day to go see where the spring was bubbling up from and also got us some delicious jackfruit from a friend of his. All in all a great stay and I look forward to going back as soon as I can ! Thanks again Andy :)

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Simpatico listening to the wonderful rhythm of the ocean coming up against the Shoreline, enjoying the beautiful sunset reflecting off the ocean from our front door. We admired the gardens that are provided with the house. We also were able to eat fresh seafood with the locals and enjoy some of their traditions.

Juan Carlos did an excellent job introducing us to the house and providing recommendations to restaurants, beaches, shops and the Mercado. God willing we will visit again soon. I would/have recommended to other (Airbnb) guest.
